“This is a moment in my life where I’ve found serenity and I’m very happy with what I’m doing. It really was a spread of everything – urban, couture, skulls, romanticism, different cultures, different eras. When I was with Katy England, who works with me on the show, I told her what I wanted to do – romanticism, witches, angels, Peru, skulls – she was overwhelmed, but when she saw the collection, she understood the message. I’m very faithful to myself. When you do things that are true it just comes out quite instinctively.”– Riccardo Tisci
Riccardo Tisci has created a new different collection for Givenchy’s A/W 15/16 collection. In addition to all his inspirations that he has spoke of he has also noted that a De Chirico painting has inspired many of his looks. The collection for both men and women is created with the same inspirations. His take on romanticism with witches and skulls and hidden darkness has come to life with this collections. Tisci’s past collections have had many sweatshirts creating a more relaxed type of vibe, its nice to see him come out with a unique creative art that he has unleashed it on the fashion world. The darkness in his collection is amazing! The patterns are also pleasingly geometric and unique, Tisci is also amazing with lace and he has again created some beautifully sexy lace dresses.
